The Sancy Bar is an interior design concept for a dynamic bar located at the heart of the new terminal at Frankfurt Airport. The architectural design of the terminal features a striking organic ceiling, with gracefully descending curves and skylight openings that flood the space with natural light. This unique ceiling structure serves as the primary inspiration for the design concept of the bar, creating a seamless connection between the architecture and interior space.
The design of the bar mimics the organic forms of the ceiling, extending the fluidity of the space to the perimeter of the bar area. Curved lines and soft, flowing shapes are integrated into the design of the bar itself, allowing it to blend harmoniously with the terminal’s architecture. The bar counter is strategically positioned directly beneath one of the ceiling's distinctive drops, drawing attention to the organic shape of the space while ensuring that the space beneath feels inviting and cohesive.
